Privacy Policy

See How AI Works is a no-code interactive course. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what data the site touches, and how little of it leaves your browser.

Last updated: June 27, 2026

The short version

  • Your learning progress is stored in your own browser by default, not on our servers.
  • You can optionally create an account to sync progress across devices. Then we store your email and progress.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the course is used, plus Google Ads conversion measurement when we run ads. We never sell your personal data.

What we store, and where

Without an account (the default). Your lesson progress, “likes,” and preferences (such as whether narration is on) are saved in your browser’s localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. Clear your browser storage and it’s gone.

With an account (optional). If you sign in with Google to sync progress and unlock access, we store on our server: your name, email address, your Google account identifier, your per-lesson progress, and your course access (entitlement). For account security, login sessions also record an IP address and browser user-agent string.

Anonymous like counts. Each lesson has a tappable “like.” We keep only an aggregate count per lesson; which browser tapped it is tracked locally on your device, so these counts identify no one.

If you subscribe by email (optional). We store the address you typed, the language you were reading in, and which page you subscribed from. We email you a confirmation link first and send nothing else unless you click it. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that needs no account; when you use it we keep the record marked as unsubscribed so you are not added again by mistake. Write to us and we will delete the record entirely.

What we don't do

We never sell your personal data, and we don't build cross-site advertising profiles of you. Beyond the aggregate Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement described below, there is no behavioral ad tracking. The course itself runs entirely in your browser.

Cookies

If you sign in, a session cookie keeps you logged in. We also use Google Analytics cookies (for example the _ga cookie) to measure usage in aggregate, and, when we run ads, a Google Ads conversion cookie. We don't use cookies to build cross-site advertising profiles of you.

Third-party services

  • Web fonts. The “Inter” typeface is loaded from rsms.me. As with any web font, your browser’s request exposes your IP address to that host.
  • Hosting. Our hosting provider processes standard server request logs.
  • Analytics and ads. We use Google Analytics, and Google Ads conversion measurement when we run ads, to understand in aggregate how people find and use the course. Google may set cookies and process your IP address and on-site events under Google's own policies. We don't sell your data or use it to build cross-site advertising profiles.
  • Payments. If you buy the course, the payment is processed by Polar (our Merchant of Record). Polar handles your payment details and tax; we receive only a confirmation that you paid and store your access, never your card number.
  • Browser speech. Optional lesson narration uses your browser’s built-in speech synthesis. Audio is generated locally; nothing is sent to us or to a third party.

Your choices and rights

You can wipe all local data by clearing your browser storage for this site. If you have an account, you can request access to or deletion of your data; deleting your account removes your stored profile and progress (anonymous, aggregate like counts are unaffected because they identify no one). Contact us at hello@seehowaiworks.com.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To limit measurement, you can use your browser's Global Privacy Control, opt out of Google Analytics, or manage ad personalization in your Google account.

Children

The course is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). Accounts are optional and require only an email address.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
